Career interview: Systems engineer
Chuck Gill caught the space bug as a child when watching Alan Shepherd launch into space. Since then he's worked as a US Air Force navigator, a satellite operator, and in the US intelligence service. These days he's busy reducing carbon emissions and preparing London for the 2012 Olympics. Plus went to see him to find out more about his career.

This blog is dedicated to my math students. It is my sincere hope that each of you will use this tool when you need extra help with math after school hours.
I began my first math blog in 2006. Students use the blog to get extra homework help or ask Questions about math concepts.
Here's how it works:
Each day, I will post a homework help tip or a link to a related site.
Suppose "Student A" is doing homework and has a question about a problem. Instead of skipping the problem, he/she logs on to the blog, finds the posting for the current lesson, and reads the help tip.
If "Student A" still has a question, he/she leaves a comment stating the problem number and a verbal description of what he/she does not understand.
The first student who logs on and gives
"Student A" correct advice regarding his problem earns an Early Bird Stamp.Some nights, I will "check in" and offer
